All About Mrs. Heiner
Hello! My name is Amanda Heiner. I am SO excited to be your child’s third grade teacher! This is my third year teaching in the classroom! Before teaching I was the Director of a gymnastic center and coached competitive cheerleading for 15 years. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.

I grew up in Mexia, Texas where I was a involved in Varsity sports and Cheerleading! I started coaching cheerleading when I was 15 and continued for 15 more years. After having my wonderful children I decided to move from the gymnastics floor to the classroom. I started as a substitute teacher and become certified to teach Early Child - 6th Grade General Education, English as a Second Langauage and Early Child - 12th grade in Physical Education.  My first 2.5 years of teaching were spent building the literacy foundation in young minds in Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten. I am excited to bring my enthusisam for literacy into my third grade classroom!

I have been married to my amazing husband, Matt, since 2008. We are blessed to have two children. Luke will be going into the 1st grade at Broadway. Scarlett is 3! She loves dancing just like her mommy! When I am not in the classroom or spending time with family and friends you can find me at my CrossFit box! I competed in my first CrossFit Open in February! I also competed in my first CrossFit competition this summer! In October I will be running the Spartan Race!

This is going to be a wonderful year full of laughs, learning and adventure.
